Paul is the founding Director of the Center for Neuroeconomics Studies and Professor of Economics, Psychology and Management at Claremont Graduate University. He has degrees in mathematics and economics from San Diego State University, a Ph.D. in economics from University of Pennsylvania, and post-doctoral training in neuroimaging from Harvard.  He also serves as a senior advisor to Finsbury, a global leader in strategic communications that advises many of the world’s most successful companies.

Paul’s research on oxytocin and relationships has earned him the nickname "Dr. Love."   That’s cool.  He’s all about adding more love to the world. Paul is advising Cancerlife how to create a more engaging and “loving community” through his understanding of neuroscience and oxytocin.

Dr. Whisenant's is an expert at research focused on describing longitudinal cancer-related symptom patterns, the patient and caregiver experience with cancer-related symptoms and behavioral interventions, and development, validation, and implementation of patient-reported outcomes measures of cancer-related symptom burden for research and clinical care. She will be helping Cancerlife design its care protocols in order to reach the highest clinical standards.

Dr Soberman combines business experience and knowledge as well as cancer care delivery. He was the former CEO of Frederick Health System in Frederick MD. As a student of value-based care, with an MBA from Georgetown University, Mark brings unique view of cancer care today. He has pushed for reform through his Presidency of Association of Community Cancer Centers, made up of hundreds of cancer organizations the community oncology market. He has a unique understanding of the small oncology practice market and believes that a third party stand alone, digital “cancer supportive care “ company is desperately needed.

Dr. Cleeland is a world expert on cancer symptom management at MD Anderson Cancer Center and is the co-designer of the MASDI symptom burden tool used as several of the world’s top cancer centers. His over 40+ year career in cancer research and impacts on QoL on cancer treatment is unmatched. His role to be to help design new prediction models and identify ways to improve QoL for the CancerLife community members.

Thomas Oliver is a licensed physician in PA and internal medicine resident at Main Line Health in Philadelphia, PA. Thomas’s unique experience bridges the gap between the two worlds of oncology. That of a doctor and as a patient. In 2012, on the day he was to leave for medical school Thomas was diagnosed with Melanoma. It was this experience that had drove him into the Oncology. He feels passionate that new technologies must be utilized to improve care for patients who need more support as they go through treatment. Thomas is originally from Nottingham, England. He is an avid golfer and played professionally before attending medical school.

Tim has more than 15 years of professional experience as a technologist building highly scalable web and mobile infrastructures. Finally, Tim is an IT security fanatic with over 10 years of experience running PCI compliant financial systems. In his last role, He built from the ground up an advertising web network that served over 1M ads per day using AWS.   He is well aware of CancerLife’s HIPAA compliance requirements and has ensured all critical patient information is secured.  Tim has had many friends and family that have gone through cancer and improving a patient's Quality of Life is important to him.  He is an avid golfer and father of 2 year old boy with a new daughter on the way.

After Charlie lost his best friend to pancreatic cancer in 2013, he set out to create a single mobile based support platform for cancer families who had trouble communicating and staying in touch. With over 20 years in Enterprise Software Sales experience, Charlie has worked at some of the largest software companies in the world such as SAP and Ariba as well at some of the most innovative SaaS companies in the technology sector. He consistently sold the largest revenue license deals in those firms. He spends his free time outside so long as the temperature is above freezing: golfing, biking, running and hiking.
